Prevention Month and the nation’s largest home and auto insurance provider, State Farm® is committed to raising fire safety awareness and educating families, students and communities across the US. To help spread the word, State Farm® has teamed up with 4-time Olympian, Joetta and retired fire fighter, Tyrone Johnson, to run a series of podcasts associated with disaster prevention and relief.
In line with State Farm’s mission to help people manage the risk of everyday life and recover from the unexpected, the company recognizes Fire Safety Month and has adopted a “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety™” theme for this year. Alarm notifications increased exponentially in the background of people’s homes during the Covid-19 pandemic with families working and learning remotely.
“State Farm is honored to share information that will keep our communities safe and help them recover from the unexpected. Our goal is to create safer and more educated communities. Now more than ever it is important to be prepared for unexpected challenges, but also to have a plan for future successes. The ‘BE Extraordinary’ Podcast, along with local State Farm agents, will provide great information weekly that can benefit all,” explains Arlene J. Lester, State Farm® Corporate Responsibility Analyst.
JoTyme Fitness Co-Founder, Joetta continues, “We are excited to work with State Farm®, a household name in insurance, to disseminate this powerful information through our podcast and the many people who will benefit as a result.”
